Hello! We're so happy that you're interested in joining SAFE-D, the only Association dedicated to making Texans safer by advancing and advocating for the interests of Emergency Services Districts.
Membership is on an annual basis by organization, meaning everyone associated with your organization (all commissioners, support staff, and any service providers) are covered under one membership. Membership is billed every October. When you join during the year, we will prorate your dues invoice the following October to account for the extra payment.
In order to become a member, please select your membership level and fill in the required information.
Please only fill out this form if you're a new member (do not use it for membership renewals). If you believe you may already have a membership or previous membership with SAFE-D, please contact us at admin@safe-d.org first.
Membership Levels:
ESDs are classified by revenue based on their total tax levies (including property and sales tax) for the previous year:
- Level 5 District ($3000) - more than $10,000,001 in total previous year's tax levy
- Level 4 District ($2500) - between $1,000,001 and $10,000,000 in total previous year's tax levy
- Level 3 District ($1750) - between $500,001 and $1,000,000 in total previous year's tax levy
- Level 2 District ($550) - between $250,001 and $500,000 in total previous year's tax levy
- Level 1 District ($275) - less than $250,000 in total previous year's tax levy
Associate Membership:
- Dues for a Non-profit entity (such as a VFD or another professional association) are $275/year.
Corporate entity dues are $1750. Remember that an ESD's emergency service provider (even those serving as an independent contractor) are covered by their ESD's membership.
