Dr. Martin Luby of the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs presents the results of a study that analyzes best practices in setting financial reserve levels for ESDs. It includes case studies from several Texas ESDs to help develop a policy framework for establishing and maintaining financial reserves. Texas A&M's V.G. Young Institute of County Government has certified this training for ONE (1) HOUR of ESD Commissioner Training Credit. Cost is only $85 per person for a representative of a SAFE-D member (e.g., commissioner, fire chief); $125 for nonmembers.
